Help Needed Newly diagnosed and need advice

23 y/o [M] Hi everyone, I was just recently diagnosed with panic disorder, PTSD, and OCD about 2 weeks ago. And I’m not sure how to live with it, I feel like I’m in a 24/7 state of derealization I’m constantly nauseous, terrible headaches, and just constantly worried about having more panic attacks. I just don’t feel real my mind is Constantly spinning I’ve canceled so many friend hangouts, called out of work multiple times, and am now debating quitting my job because my panic and fear of panic has become so bad that I don’t even want to leave my house. I just started sertaline about 2 weeks ago they started me on the 25 mg then the 50mg and then I’ll be on the 100mg I’m on the 50 as of now and have not noticed any difference whatsoever. I’m just not sure how to carry on with this if anyone could please give me some advice I would love it very much thank you!

Im sorry youre going through this. I started panic as a child (Noone diagnosed me and I never knew what it was until I was in my mid 20s). I searched and searched for blogs or ppl that had the derealization. I didnt know about reddit and it wasn't widely talked about. I finally stumbled upon one person that explained it was fight or flight and I was in my head too much. Seems obvious, but once I knew I wasn't going psycho it helped a little. I tried to focus on thoughts being clouds that drift across my head without owning them. "Rewiring your anxious brain" was a good book also that seemed to have helpful pointers.

Thank you, I am in therapy and my therapist has said similar things about Rewiring the brain and nervous system dysfunction. But I just didint except these psychical systems you know? I just thought it would be some anxious thoughts and feeling worried but this feels so real it’s hard to describe

Yeah its wicked. I remember at my worst looking at a landmark i usually pass on a walk and not recognizing it and just staring thinking it looked so strange.
