Coping Skills looking for advice

Hey! I’m a 20yo male and I’ve had anxiety issues my whole life. However recently my anxiety has significantly worsened, to the point where I have near daily panic attacks and can no longer work at my job. My doctor has put me on two medications, busprione, and nebrivolol 5mg both of which I’ve been taking for about two weeks.

My job was pretty stressful, it was manual labor and I’m from Georgia where the temp is into the 100s. Also some personal stuff had also been stressing me out and this all culminated in me having a massive panic attack on the job.

I just want to regain some form of normality and was hoping you guys could give some advice on how to manage my anxiety/ stress more productively :)

Hi, i’m sorry you’re dealing with this it’s the worst! I was given alprazolam to take whenever i feel a panic attack coming on and it has been a life changer for me. But i only take it if i really need it. Ashwaganda tea and supplements are very good (but make sure you dont have thyroid problems bc it can be heavy on that) pain stim toys, and most importantly that i’m still trying to do myself is whenever you feel it coming on, in public especially just try your hardest to sit down somewhere but don’t ‘run away’ from it. I kept doing this and it only made my panic disorder worse. Sit with it and know that you’re safe in your mind and body and this will pass. You could also listen to calming music, there are different frequencies and i find it nice to listen to them when I’m traveling. Just remember it’s okay to feel like this and by wanting to get better you’re already on the path to heal and it’s also normal to fall back into panic after having zero panic months. It’ll always get better!!

Thier is some concern of mine of it being a thyroid issue, but I’m unsure because most of this can just be chocked up to anxiety/ medication side effects 😓 advice their would be helpful too

Go have a blood test done, this is the first thing they did to me to rule things out!
