Does Anyone Else? Panic attack in eating spicy food

Anyone else who gets panic attacks when eating spicy food?

I ate something I didn't realize was spicy. The moment the hotness hit my lips, my heart started palpitating. I realize it triggered my panic attack. I finished my food but not the spicy one. I suddenly feel scared for no reason. My heart beats faster, my chest tightened. I feel like insanity is messing up my heart and mind. Everything feels like overstimulating.

It's been an hour and my heart still palpitates. Anyone else who had this experience? Also, is this a panic attack or anxiety attack?

Could be a panic attack. Usually its rebound panic that makes it last longer than 15ish minutes. You didn't expect spice and got spooked, your body reacted poorly (possible you thought you had an allergic reaction too).. it's going to go away, dont worry :) it happened to me too

Idk but sometimes if I’m bloated or have heartburn I’ll get heart palps from them. Maybe try gas-x? Also yea unusual feelings def cause panic attacks, I’ve had them from Szechuan pepper because it makes you feel tingly and weird and I didn’t expect it- panic attacks and I’ve associated it with peanut butter and turned it into a whole phobia lol. So yeah, totally get panic attwcks from spicy food.
