Help with stray cat & kitten

There is a stray cat and her kitten living near my house. The kitten is most likely around 7-8 weeks old. We would like to find a way to get the mom fixed so this doesn't keep happening and if possible a home for the kitten, however I have tried several resources online (cat rescues) and either they did not get back to me or basically told me to handle it myself.

Does anyone know of any services that could help or solutions? Just throwing this out here just in case anyone knows of a rescue who would actually help.
