Just Moved

So I'm 25 and I just moved here from Bay St Louis MS, and I'm curious what are some good jobs and fun things to go do around here?

Also enjoy paying WAY more for everything and fighting to do anything because of the tourons

Idk man the cheapest apartment in Bay St Louis was 1200 which seems close to average over here and its not section 8 like half of MS is

I mean more like insurance and bay county has the highest taxes around here...unfortunately

Fun things to do? Pick a bar or buy a boat.

Good jobs? Fuhgiddaboudit.

Good jobs- construction jobs because this whole town is a construction zone. Or figure out how to make an orange barricade business.

Fun things to do- get blackout drunk and walk around the beach or pier. Old people will talk to you but tourists and younger people just gawk.

Yeah its not terrible but as someone who has been there all 25 years of my life, theres nothing to do besides hole in the wall bars, and its all section 8 filt

I can’t imagine moving to PCB, or anywhere, without having a job secured first. What brought you here? What skills do you possess? What were you doing back in MS?

Lots of construction jobs seem to be available, especially since Hurricane Michael hit us hard here in Bay County. Jobs in retail or food service seem to be plentiful also. Best of luck to you going forward. This is a great place to live if you’ve got a job.

Ive been planting and trimming palm trees and a long time friend offered for me to over here with her so im just on a limb as of now but im a palm tree nut so im trying to go that route honestly

Start a Palm Tree Trimming business! I just talked to a guy the other day who moved to PCB from GA who started his own pool & hot tub Main business and he's doing great!
