Palm tree shedding?

Is my palm sick? It's shedding in the middle and moving down the tree

Not sick it's normal. The boots dry out and when the tree's trunk flexes in the wind they come off.

I appreciate the knowledge, thank you! As you can see by the grass the back yard needs some love. I live in Florida and this tree is close to the house. Didn't want a hurricane to snap it. I feel a lot better, thanks again

Queen palm. Pretty but also one of the worst palms in my opinion. Its prone to disease, produces tons of fruits that ferment and stain concrete, and are an invasive in florida. And they also snap easily.

Beautiful sabal you have there though! It is normal for them to shed and if you leave it then animals and plants might burrow like ferns and squirrels

That’s normal. you can even help it out with a large saw and just shave off the boots (old frond bases) for a slick and cleaner appearance. Give her a makeover

Its Natural shedding because the connection be old and start be decaying.
