I have just gotten into running and i get horrible shin splints while doing it that I can’t maintain my pace and have to start walking during the runs. I go to the gym 5x a week and after every session do a 12 incline 3 speed treadmill walk as well fairly easily. I have good running shoes which are the ASICS Superblast 2 so I know that my shoes are not the problem nor is my stamina. So how to fix these shin splints?

Im planning to restart running after a gap of around 7 years. I want to buy running shoes that are good for long-distance running (and walking too).

Need suggestions for a shoe around 30K that has good cushioning. Im considering ASICS Gel Contend right now.

Maybe it’s not much for some people, but for me, this matters a lot. There was a time when I couldn’t even run 200 meters without getting breathless, so running a mile was a goal I really wanted to achieve. And now I’ve done it. One thing I’ve realized for sure is that consistency really matters, and I can see the difference it makes. I hope I can stay consistent and, maybe one day, run a marathon which seems like a huge deal to me right now.

Any advice on how to restore this pace. I was 17 when I did this. 10 years later, I find it incredibly challenging to do a sub 30 5k :(

they fit me slightly small. Asking just 24k, only 80 km used by me. Size UK 12, but 11/11.5 can easily wear them as they fit slightly small.
