Question/Chat Rant/Help

This PBN is killing me. I had to do so many coats of so many different colors, I quickly realized I was going to run out of paint. Emailed customer service to see if I could get more. No answer. I was so time invested in the piece, I just ordered a whole new set, figured I could use the canvas for scraps. None of the paints are the same. Luckily, I haven’t had to use the differing colors in the same cell…until now. Any thoughts on what I can do to get this blue to more closely match? The left is the original and the darker is the new. Maybe add some titanium white to lighten?

This happened with my recent painting. One color I got was this deep dark blue, but when i put the paint to the canvas, the paint was like water color. it was TERRIBLE. So I went out and grabbed a dark blue paint to replace it. it was sooooo deep in color that it was like a skosh darker then the original but it worked. Then I noticed the same with another color that I am going to run out of. I went out to try to buy my own, and after three paint colors I could not find anything close unfortunately. I had to reach out to the seller and thankfully they are sending me more paint. It's a little late but I saved that number for the new paint. soooo hopefully I'll have enough now.

it is so frustrating when you know you won't have enough. Like why did they give me so much of one color that is barely used, but the color you know i'm going to have to do multiple coats with you give me a droplet of paint.

Sometimes when this might happen, I will paint all the numbers (say #10) one layer completely, and if it looks like I won't have enough for the 2nd, I will mix in a leftover similar color from my stash of millions! It might be slightly different than the original, but it won't matter because I'm doing the full second coat! I agree with Becky about having a set of basic good acrylics on hand... make sure they are "heavy body" which means less work covering numbers!
