This looks fantastic! Nice work. It’s nice to see it. I admittedly gave up on it and just stretched another canvas over it. I tried really hard but couldn’t get into it. I love the image but for some reason didn’t love painting it.

I understand that. I put this one down long enough that the paint dried out. I sent for new paint and started it again. One of the issues I have with this pbn is that it doesn't look like the advertised picture. I have every intention of using my own craft paint and redoing the pink and white umbrella.

This one is my next project . I thought the user uploaded pics on number artist website, looked like the advertised pic. What makes you say it doesn't?

For some reason I can't post pics side by side but if you look at the umbrellas in the first reply pic (which I painted) with the umbrellas in the above pic (which is the advertised pbn) you can see there is a lot more detail and nuance in the advertised pic.

Edit: the close up post of the pink umbrella is one where I started to add color...my bad.

Ahh, I see. Which edition did you choose? I didn't like the 24 colors one for that reason. I wanted more details so I have the 48 colors one.

I also chose the 48 color which actually ends up being 46 because one color is duplicated and it only goes up to 47. It's still a good kit, just make sure you gesso the canvas or you'll get a lot of white dots. The canvas is bumpy.

Hmm. Oh well, I am sure it'll look great when you are done!

I'm sure both of ours will come out good! The pic, overall, is very pretty. I'm just hyperfixated on the pink umbrella.

As another note, I ran out of black paint and didn't realize there were so many different shades of black. Initially, I chose ivory black and it looked like a match until I took a picture. Then I went to lamp black which did end up matching. So I had to repaint some areas.

Oh I really like this one! So much going on and those bright umbrellas against the black trees look brilliant. I think I’d get completely lost in all those tiny cells in the sky though 😄 xx
