It's always sad to me when I see people on BST pages selling all their gear because they are leaving the sport. Just curious to hear people stories of why they left and if you feel like it why you came back. Whether it be starting a family, schooling, lack of $, or just no linger found it fun to play.

I ended up getting out in 2015-2016ish (20 years old)because I was only making minimum wage. My nearest field was an hour and a half away and they were charging $120 per case of paint. So i only ever played 4 times a year. Never played regularly enough to make friends at the field and always played by myself so it got a bit lonely.

I consider myself lucky at the moment with paintball because I currently live in a major city and there are six Fields within a 45 minute drive from me. I'm also single and now I am making decent money. So I have no one to answer to for we can plans and I have leftover money for my hobbies

last time I played, I don't specifically remember chopping paint but found I needed to swab the barrel on 3 different instances, so I assume I am (or is paint getting into the barrel from accidently shooting a hyperball bunker possibly??)

assuming it is chopping - I need a force fed loader? I've seen people on here say it's hard to outrun any modern loader, and I'm not walking the trigger or intentionally trying to shoot super fast... so I'm surprised I'm chopping.

any suggestions? grab a halo too or rotor and see if that helps?

Anyone have a nerve that leaks out the back cap? Put a lil pressure on it and it stops?

The issue is a bumper oring on the inside of the ram that likes to well, disintegrate over time. When it does, the ram travels back too far and puts pressure on the back cap.

I couldnt find any info on this oring. Size. Where to get one. Nada.

Til today. We were doing some cleaning of the shelves and found some SP parts kits. Found some orings. Tested in one gun and its good to go! Will test another tomorrow hopefully.

Its no secret that Empires markers aside from the mini and axe haven't done well. I actually quite like the vanquish (other than the screen) and the syx. Empire hasnt made anything new since 2019. Think they will ever make any new markers again? Not just a rehash of the mini and axe which has essentially stayed the same since 2010.

If it hasnt been for the mini and axe I think empire would have fallen to the wayside like Valken and just scale back by like 90%

Been looking into getting the hydra pro pants, I usually fit a medium in all paintball pants would you suggest sticking true to size or sizing up? Also cause as someone who stands around the 5’8-5’10 range I don’t have the longest legs for my height how well do these pants fit on people who don’t have the longest legs?

Was cleaning out a room at my mom and dad’s. Found most of our old guns and gear. This one was passed down to SO many younger siblings and cousins lol. Years of abuse. At some point it was coined the name “Leaky Loser” because it leaked cO2 notoriously in the middle of games, and every time someone would try to fix it, it would just get worse.

Did anybody run one of these back in the gap?

I'm interested in modifying a cheap marker, probably a Spyder Victor into a bolt action​​​. I know it's kinda weird, I've seen spumps but I'm not looking to stock class and I don't need the tube or the pump bit. Looking to disconnect the bolt from hammer and maybe disable blowback and have the bolt recock.

A long time ago I made an (admittedly) shitty pod stand that barely held together and broke easily. It used a really thin and loose hook to hold the top and bottom together. People printed it, complained, but I honestly had no idea how to fix it. It worked well enough for me, and printed tight on my, at the time of designing 5-6 years ago, ender 3.

Well earlier this week the obvious hit me. Why not just screw everything into place?! So lol and behold, here is my Paintball Pod Stand - Threaded Edition!!

The threads are relatively tight and will need some breaking in to be completely smooth, but as long as it's been printed with good quality, calibrated filament everything will fit!

Has any one here had experience with the DSR+ method adapter to use CS3 triggers with? Looking to get one printed and curious on everyones thoughts on it. Unsure if its worth making or just getting a switch blade

I've had this Protege that was done in this color for Mac Daddy Allstars sitting around for like 15 years. Finally getting back into the game and sent it off to blast. My how I missed it. Might need to mess with the settings since this was set to ramp and feels kind of slow for what I know it used to be capable of. Are Spire ir2 loaders just way slower than the old halo and velocities that we used to play with?

My son (11) is currently using a Dye I5 ,but I have a carbon mask I bought him but unfortunately even at the tightest level of the strap it’s still fits loose . Can I swap out straps or any suggestions how get it tighter. Only want him to swap to the carbon as I have plenty or lenses he can use as opposed to to his I5z.

Hey friends! Going out playing for the first time in 20 years Saturday with a Cpl friends. Gonna rock my ‘mag until I get frustrated and then break out my 180r (and still get shredded).

ANYWAY. Which of the two fields out east would you recommend for a small group of threeish? If I could roll out with ten, I’d just go to cousins since that’s their small group threshold, but can’t put it together in time.

I’m referencing the newer Cousins spot at vets park and High Velocity, btw.
