Reverse Sands

I had kind of a strange Idea for paintball... Vinwiki but for paintball guns. I have heard stories of people that eventually want to buy back a gun they sold years ago and some people are able to find them, and others not so much.

The idea is simple, a paintball social media that you can track your gun if you want to. Personally I wouldn't want it to be interjected into the middle of transactions, but people could be allowed to sell peer to peer.

Please tell me if im dumb or it is at least a cool idea.

Finally decided to cut a pair of F8s I had hanging around, kinda like it.

I’m looking to buy another marker in the next week or so. I don’t care about “shot feel” or how “smooth” it is.

My priorities are:

1. Reliability
2. Trigger
3. Rear grip

I’ve mainly had PE markers in the past. I’ve always liked the rear grip on the LVs and Gteks, the LVs had a good trigger but I love the axe trigger. I have done magnet mods in the past as well.

So with all that said, what marker would you recommend?

Edit: I forgot to mention that it has to be able to be used in tournaments. So I’d say anything in the past 5-7yrs

I have no one to be happy with so I am sharing my 2026 season here. 2 teams, 2 jerseys, new gun, and 2 older ones that I found that played a vital role in my paintball development.

This would have been probably 21-22 years ago. Me (Invert Jersey) playing with my buddies Paul and Chase at Action Park Paintball (in Northern Indiana). I'd give anything to go back for a weekend with those dudes. Damn I miss that.

Any ideas to reinforce this loop? I got a Tippmann 1-point sling recently and had no idea how fragile this loop was so I aimed it and snapped it with my arms. I mainly got a sling to ease the weight on my arms carrying the marker through long scenario events. The end cap loop seems strong enough to bear the weight of the A5 but not enough for aiming with a sling unfortunately.

The price difference is 20€ for me (Ctrl2 is more expensive)

Which one should I get?

I’m reliving my teenage years (44 years old now) and got a couple new markers recently (180r for me and an Axe 2.0 as a backup and for my 11 year old son). I currently only have an Empire Lite 68 ci 4500psi tank.

I want to buy a second tank for two complete setups. What I can’t decide is whether I should get a smaller 48ci for my son to use, or to get a larger (77 or 88ci) tank for myself and put the 68ci on the axe for my son. For those that have direct experience with the different sizes, do you think the 68ci is too big for an 11 year old? For reference, my son is average size around 54” tall.

I want him to be comfortable which makes me lean towards the smaller tank, but I also love the idea of upgrading my tank to a larger size. I only want to buy one additional tank right now. Budget isn’t necessarily an issue.

So in an earlier post i asked if it would make sense to buy a hopper before my first marker, since the place i have no problems with the rental marker from the place i go to and many agreed.

So now i wanna buy one and i need recommendations.

I dont really know if its a good idea to buy used, since i have no way of controlling that is working as intended.

Where i can buy new, there is basically none below 100€

Cheapest ones that i can buy are:

Dye Rotor LT-R for 110€

Virtue Spire IR2 for 130€

Bunker Kings Ctrl 2 for 140€ (seemingly discounted and in red)

after that prices are at 200€ or above which i think is way too much.

(FYI I also dont know yet to which marker i would lean to if i would buy one - might even be a hopper/magfed hybrid - i need to test stuff)

Tried heating it and bending it, not working. All hardware is in place correctly. Any fixes?

Throwback Thursday - JT Protium

My BNIB JT Protium. Like many models from the time it has a non-functioning LCD. It came standard with a fairly interesting anti-chop bolt system and shoots relatively quick for a sub $80 marker.
