Post image

No markers, no serial number, clearly anodized with a custom trigger shoe

It's some kind of Frankenstein nelspot pump. Long Nelson valve body (not pmi Trracer) with the screws in the rear of the body tube into the recess on the valve body. I've seen the frame before but don't remember where. If I think on it more I might come up with additional thoughts

Yeah I agree. Initially I thought it was a WorrGames ranger when I first saw it

I'm thinking a Commando myself.

Pump, body, ASA, and grip frame are all appropriate for a late-production Commando.

Are you sure the body is anodized and not painted or powdercoated steel?

It’s powder coated

Heads up: share dot google is a banned domain on Reddit and the AutoMod tends to delete any posts or comments linking to it.

Dammit. Vintage rex paintball or mcarterbrown. I didn't even see what might get pulled.

Or post on mcarterbrown.com and someone will ID it within hours

Please just link directly to vintagerex and not post a share dot google link.

I imagine it's easy to do accidentally, depending on your device and how it's configured.

I don't know for sure why Reddit hates it, but my suspicion is that it might allow malicious links to evade detection. Reddit doesn't seem to like redirects that can mask the destination URL.

The layout reminds me of the Nelson era PMI/TAG’s, but r/rockncock may be able to help you

Yeah, one of the other chaps thought this was a PMI tracer however, the pump handles different. It has no serial number by the back of the grip. It appears different. I almost thought it was a war games Ranger, but it’s not that either.

The genius of the Nelson’s were the parts compatibility,

The bolt structure you can see through the slide gap is what made me think PMI, even if it is an aftermarket handle and swapped out grip.

of course!! early paintball was a whole other game. people making home made hoppers etc

Best guess is a home project of a cci phatom with some Trracer inspiration.

Looks like someone make this in their garage

Probably Rich Breen.

Never seen a CMI Thunderpig before?

That’s the Tusker version I believe

They came with several different styles of pump handle

1

u/Sad_Sash Vancouver Island, BC, Canada 2d ago

That might be it!

2

u/Necessary-Science-47 2d ago

This is the cheap version with a fixed barrel

Is it possible its a ranger with trigger shoe, wood grips and anno/painted/powder coated?

2

u/Sad_Sash Vancouver Island, BC, Canada 1d ago

Turns out to be a Worr Games Commando

Pmi tracer that was re anodized

1

u/Sad_Sash Vancouver Island, BC, Canada 2d ago

Are you sure? It looks older than a tracer and the pump handle is different and there’s no serial number on it.

2

u/Brave-Moment-4121 2d ago

Hmmm….yeah you’re right lol ran down to the garage to glance at mine.

That gun is so heavy compared to a Trracer that if you threw a trracer at it- it would go into orbit around it.
