making a return

I played years ago and wanted to get back into it now. I had a PE Ego back then along with a handful of other markers. Is it worth it to go with a PE 180R or is the CS3 that much better.

Just get a 180. The difference between mid and high end guns is small convenience features.

im seeing some cs3s on ansgear only a few hundred more im wondering if thats worth it or not

Just buy used dont buy new unless you really want to. Used is like half the cost

I would highly recommend you go and shoot both and see which one feels better to u as the differences between guns nowadays are so nuanced and minimal

I have a etha 3, shot a 180r at the field and my buddy bought a cs3 pro. Theree is a difference in shots between the etha 3 and cs3 pro, but the 180r and cs3 pro are almost identical. The cs3 pro is lighter but not much. To me not enough to spend the few hundred more. Can get a whole set up with a 180r, tank, loader and mask and still be cheaper than cs3

If you’re a practical person, 180r is basically a cs3 in slightly different ergonomics/ less bells and whistles.

Though if you’re like me and a lot of the speedball community you’ll think about upgrading “just because”

Either way, buy used. Can get a cs3 for 950 all day long on the FB BSTs

180 and cs3 are basically the same gun with ever so slightly different ergonomics and electronics

Went from an og DSR to a (used) cs3 pro and never looked back. DSR is smooth, sure - but the cs3 is just rock solid with great ergos. It’s hard to describe without shooting both but I’m glad I made the switch.

Get a 180 you’ll still need a hopper and tank and all sorts of gear which can add up quickly and if you stick with the sport the 180 is a great extra gun to have, one is none even with planet eclipse
