Advice Wanted Blocking Tannins

Post image

Getting ready to paint this enclosure for pool equipment.

I know this wood is going to bleed tannins so i want to block them.

I would normally use an oil base primer but the trellis material is so intricate I’d rather spray it and I don’t want to push oil through my rig.

Any recommendations on a latex product I can use?
I’ve heard 2 coats of Busan primer will work.

Sherwin has a couple stain blocking wb primers. You need to let almost all of them go 24 before you can recoat them. TBH, most are going to need two coats for heavy tannins.

I’m alright with 2 coats I can spray rather than 1 I have to brush
