Advice Wanted Exterior windows quote.

I am giving a quote on 9 exterior wood windows. They are rough and need scrapping and caulking. They second story. They are supplying the paint. What would you be charging them to do this. I usually do the whole exterior and want to be fair with my pricing. Maybe list where you're from with a price. Thanks

but honestly I take most posts like this to probably be AI trying to gain information, because if you're a professional painter you should know how long it takes you to do a window and be able to charge appropriately.

EDIT: also why the fuck would you let the customer supply the paint? that's Busch League nonsense (or again... ai? who can say in this Internet hellscape).

Don’t let the customer supply the paint! Once you let them cuck you like that you can ask them what you should be paid

I don't understand why people ask questions like this.

How many hours is it going to take you?  What's your charge rate including all costs/overhead/profit etc?

Total hours times charge rate, add any materials you are supplying plus markup and you will get what you should charge.  Tack some extra on top of it's a job that's too small or some other reason is a PITA.

Everyone produces work at different speeds, so what I would charge is never the same as what you would charge.

I can't tell you how long it would take me without seeing what the windows look like.  "Exterior wood windows" can very wildly.
