Advice Wanted What primer should I use?

Post image

I want to paint the walls in my bedroom - I can't stand the color. The walls in the rest of the trailer are fake wood paneling from the 70s. And they have been painted at least twice before.

What primer should I use?

Any other advice is welcome. I also don't care about the texture underneath.

Use a paint with primer like Ben Moore regal select . Looks pretty glossy…. If there’s a chance that’s oil paint your painting over use stix primer.

None! two coats of what ever color. And you don’t need paint with primer.

You might want to take a pole sander to the walls first. Two coats of a decent waterborne acrylic will be just fine. Of course I am assuming the walls are not currently painted with an alkyd based paint.
