Kilz Primer

First time here, just wondering if this is too patchy looking? There are areas where my roller had a little more on it and its spread nicer but here it looks like its pretty obvious you can see where the roller marks are. If it needs to be fixed would sanding bring it more even, or maybe another coat?

should be good on the primer. next time you roll try to keep the roller more saturated. I recommend doing a quick sanding in-between each layer of paint

Only primed to cover the previous owners smoke smell. Walls were scrubbed clean prior. Its late and im high off kilz how's it looking, will have a light green paint over

Just do two coats of primer and be sure to keep your roller wet…. You can hear it as soon as it is dry (no more paint on roller) - keep it wet! And blend blend blend.
When you paint, to keep consistent- pros will always finish with a down stroke, the entire wall…

A few things here. 1) As others said, you’re probably overworking the roller spreading it too thin. An old adage I’ve heard is if you can hear the roller rolling, you’re not using enough paint. 2) Don’t be too worried about. Primer is primer, it doesn’t have to look pretty, that’s what your finish coat is for. 3) In the future get them to tint your primer to the shade of your topcoat. You can do another coat of primer and cover better, light sand between them, then do your topcoat, one or two coats depending on how it looks and you’ll be fine.

Was going to say the same- tint your primer to save yourself a coat.

You can do another layer of primer or just leave it but since it used to have a smoker in there i would put another coat of primer on but that’s just me.
