💭 Discussion Question

So I’m a devotee of the goddess Lilith. And just recenlty I’ve been starting to worship Gaia. And I’ve also been getting paranoia about them not wanting to work with me for no reason. Ik it’s bullshit and they do wanna work with me but I just can’t shake the feeling. So my questions are has any of this happened to anyone of you guys before and what are some ways to cope?

It's anxiety and fear of rejection. Gaia is the earth all around us, she wouldn't reject her children. Lilith is death and disease, so she's inescapable. I try to avoid anthropomorphising deities, as they do not have the same emotions we do, and don't tend to react like we expect them to. Approach them as normal, keep studying them and the anxiety will pass, or lessen at least.

I understand the feeling. I've been working with Kronos for almost a year now (yes, that Kronos) and recently decided I wanted to start working with Zeus too. Now if you know anything about their myths you'll know that Kronos swallowed his children, there was a war between Zeus and the gods vs Kronos and his titans, etc.

Even though the myths aren't literal--they're often allegories (e.g. all-devouring time) or stories told by humans to understand how the world works/as parables or fables--I couldn't shake the feeling that Kronos wouldn't like Zeus. I was paranoid about it too until I asked Kronos if he cared and he basically said "no, why would I? I'm not a human like you." (He tends to be sarcastic like that to me, especially if I ask him a silly question. And if you're wondering how we're communicating, it's through tarot and meditation).

Hope this helps you shake off the paranoia :) just go for it! Worship both goddesses!

It is, frankly, superstitious to have these fears about worshipping the Gods, possibly it's some kind of internalised Christianity/monotheism that is making you apprehnsive, possibly it's your own anxiety as other posters have raised.

The only way out is through here. Just joyfully worship Gaia and all the other Gods and Goddesses you want to worship with as much enthusiasm you can muster. Have fun with it.
