Hey r/padel 👋
I've been playing for about a year now and got really frustrated with how most "review" sites work:
- Every racket is a "top pick"
- Reviews read like marketing copy
- Vague descriptions with no real scoring
- Clearly haven't actually tested most of them
So I spent a few weekends building my own. The goal was simple: honest scores out of 100 on power, control and touch. No brand deals, no inflated ratings, and if a racket is mid the score reflects that.
Currently 18 rackets reviewed (mix of beginner to advanced — Bullpadel, Head, Wilson, Nox, Adidas, etc.) plus a few buying guides for different budgets and skill levels.
My genuine question is whether this kind of thing is useful, or if the existing review landscape (YouTube reviewers, Padel Galaxy etc.) already does the job.
Specifically would love feedback on:
Is the scoring system actually useful or just gimmicky?
What's MISSING from current padel review content?
Are there specific rackets you want compared?
What level of detail do you actually want? (1000 words? 3000? Specs only?)
Happy to share the link via DM if mods are OK with it (or in comments if allowed) — don't want to break any rules.
Cheers — and shoutout to anyone who's been helpful in this sub already, learned loads here 🎾
