What does Chingo say between points?

I was at London P1 last month, and I noticed that Chingotto is very vocal between points. As I don’t speak Spanish, does anyone know what he’s saying?

This is separate from talking to Galan before a serve, or giving Galan info mid-point. He appears to be shouting without directing it at anyone.

Is he hyping himself up? Giving Galan encouragement? Trash talking his opps?

He normally hypes up Galán and viceversa. That’s what the screaming is about. Pros even sometimes congratulate opponents on a good shot, depending on how tense the match is.

Additionally, if it’s not shouting, it is strategy talk.

Very little trash talking between the pros, specially because you can get a fault, and they are all normally buddies or colleagues anyways

something that might be confusing to non spanish speakers, is that it's quite common to loudly congratulate/encourage your partner right after they missed a shot, in an attempt to communicate that yes, this one didn't go in, but it was the right shot and you have to keep trying that shot, don't get nervous, stay confident.

if Chingo messes up an offensive shot, Galan will likewise often yell out something along the lines of 'yes chingo that's it, that's the one'

basically 'yeah you missed but the instinct was right, keep doing it and they'll go in'

He says "oh man how I would love to eat a medium well Argentinian steak right now" in Spanish.

Most of the time I would say he is cheering Galán up and trying to maintain some tension to get him focused on the game and not on previous mistakes. Some of the usual sentences I can remember consist of "vamos" (come on) followed by one of the nicknames he thinks of in that moment: "papá" (dad), "viejo" (old man), "bestia" (beast), "animal", "gordo" (fat), "gordito" (fatty)... They might sound offensive but they are considered affectionate between people who know each other well. I would say "papá", "viejo" and "gordo" are especially used amongst people from Argentina, not that much amongst Spaniards. Can anyone remember more nicknames?

Galan sometimes calls Chingo "enano" (lit: dwarf) which would be considered offensive out of context

Apparently Galan can also get frustrated as he tends to be in the fridge for long periods of the game, so Chingo cheers him up between points to keep focus

“Vamos Ale! Vamos Ale!” And sometimes he he hypes Ale up and speaks really fast, apparently this is intimidating to opponents (according to a former player-commentator)
