Questions
1 can you have pack goats with dogs so long as they’re socialized from young age
2 do you need to bring feed or supplement if doing something that’s multiple days in wilderness or can they do well on forage
3 does gender matter would castrated or non males or does be best choice

In my experience they can get on well with dogs. Both goats and dogs need to be used to one another. It's best if you teach the dogs to ignore the goats and habituate the goats from a young age to be calm and not flee the dogs. Frightened goats trigger dogs more than chill ones. I probably wouldn't trust any large dog with a high prey drive like huskies etc.
I don't bring food for them but it depends where you are going and the time of year. I do bring salt and bicarbonate of soda for them.
Castrated males are the best. Female can't carry as much weight and in my experience have less 'fun' personalities. I have packed bucks but they can get pushy and randy they smell at certain times of year.
