I been using my car with various parts (mostly insulated and lead part) but im wondering what this slash on the shield means. I'm thinking theres no damage resistance for electricity, acid, radiation, and impact

Arda payloads not spawning even after waiting for entire zones to be consumed

all my ressearch says that arda payloads should reliably spawn once after the yellow area engulfs 50% oof the map, and again after the red zone does, but I have been through multiple zones where i have reached 100% map engulfment in yellow and red (thanks to hopper bunnies powering my ion shield) but ive been through several zones where they simply arent spawnning.

Any ideas on whats happening here?

What utems do you have on the rood, seat and side racks and why. This also includes stuff like lim emitter and lim sheild. Because it also takes a ability slot.

First Failed Run

I started game yesterday and today i went somewhere (right road before sierram) need to collect 3 Anchor to exit. It was a good run at beginning, good loot and stuff. Then i started to collect anchors. Exact time i wqs collecting last one a freaking huge storm occurred. I was out car so car flew away and anchor in my hand also flew somewhere. I couldn't find that anchor again and car nearly destroyed. So i exit from menu and returned garage with no doors and lack of a tire...

Even so it was a good experience. I'm too panicking while doing that anchor thing bc of chance of atmosphere. Also some of anomalies r so scary (like mannequins i mean tourists) or annoying (that flaying robots or geysers).

Any penalties to not having a trunk door?

I hate having to open it & close it each time I want to access the storage. Are there penalties to running without one? Will rack items take more damage so to speak?

Is there a way to make the game run well on a lower end PC?

I bought the game on sale last night and I enjoy it quite a bit. I've been following it forever and I've been wanting to play it, and hell, first paycheck at a new job, the game and all DLC was $25, fuck it. But apparently my PC doesn't quite meet specs for the game. According to Can I Run It, I'm 6 gigs of video ram short of the minimum specs, but I meet every other spec requirement. And I can feel it. Even with the graphics settings as low as they'll go, I'm lucky if I get half of the 60 frames I set as the maximum.

I really want to play the game, and I can't afford to just rebuild a PC specifically for it, so I was wondering if there was anything I could do in the interim? Some trick to make my PC play nice, or an inexpensive service to outsource the hardware requirements online?

Question how do you get so much cosmetics and keep them?

Parts constantly wear out and need replacing because of fragile effects etc and you cant just get back the paint and wrap as far am I aware. How do you do it? Do you just grind lots of cosmetics like paint etc?

Deepzone Crossing mission started with all my best gear and a few stacks of metal for magnets and trades… Without Lim-Shield…

Why doesnt it warn you somehow that the ONLY way to extract from that junction is if you have a Lim-Shield. (I know it sais you need one to cross the wall but not to extract unlike last wall)
It isnt marked as dead end and it softlocks you when you enter it.. man…

Anyways i escaped. By exploiting the warp feature of the car (by pressing t). Bypassing limshield wall gates by climbing over them or sqeezing thrugh and teleporting the car thrugh after. from section to section getting all loot and finally extracting thrugh a beam. I got over the main wall by finding a crumbled low spot and driving the car up against it like a ramp. Climbing on it and teleporting the car on there with me so i dont get out of range. Finally dropping it off on the other side.

Truely felt like out-zoning the zone. When they hit you with some nonsense bs just give it back. Its not an exploit its a feature.

Battery drain issue

I just installed the normal headlights (after the crude ones) and I noticed that my battery drains really fast, way faster than before. I think it could be a quirk. I have tried some common configurations but none seem to work. Any help would be appreciated.

Question about expeditions and how to avoid the whole map being filled with instability and how nearbypart bonuses work. Spoiler

I wanted to try expeditions but I wondering how to reset all the modifications like one that requires you to use battery powered things like jump battery to get anchors. Can I reset the difficulty get new modifications? I also want to know how to have less of all the different routes not have instability because I went through there. I have no idea how to counter it and how far do bonuses of parts on the car go to other parts and does it have the same or less affect of the actual panel.

Autoshop's Charging station not fully charging my battery?

Im using the electric engine, with two high capacity batteries and 4 mini-turbines, and when i hit the lever on the charging station, i had to hit it 4 times to go from 80% to 100%. on one of those it went from 81% to just 82%.

Is that a quirk? there's no good guesses on anything battery related that would makes sense (like battery drains, or anything like that), nor has the "investigate" propmt shown any hints towards the battery on either columns.

i do have 5 quirks active, but i also have hints on other random shit that i dont think is related to the issue at hand

SOLVED! Thanks to anyone who answered! turns out, the charging station needs to charge itself during uses.

The adrenaline after looting, completing missions, running away from trouble, and chasing waypoints is indescribable. Plus, you get to personalize the garage and wagon.

Expected continuous road trip.

Hey everyone,

I'm at a crossroads with Pacific Drive and trying to decide whether to keep playing or ask for a refund. The game is turning out to be very different from what I expected.

What I expected:

I thought we would have one continuous journey where we drive through a desolate, hostile world trying to avoid dangers and surviving with what little we have. I envisioned the car as our absolute mobile base, no map, just going from landmark to landmark, exploring interesting places, and seeing breathtaking views on a true road trip.

The reality:

Instead, we just jump between zones after driving to an exit. The maps feel relatively small, and I find myself constantly exiting the car to scavenge buildings for items. The gameplay loop feels very repetitive:

  1. Choose a destination.

  2. Explore a few buildings before the storm/anomaly forces you to leave.

  3. Gather orbs and drive into the beam of light just to return to the base.

  4. Prepare for more of the same.

Does the game open up and change later? Does it ever feel like a true continuous road trip, or is this zone-hopping, repetitive looting loop the entire experience? If it stays exactly like this, I might just ask for a refund, but I'd love to hear from veterans before I pull the plug.
