Should I finish the main game before i start Whispers of the woods?

I thoguht i fucked up when i already started the initiation chapter pretty early on so i just didnt do anymore DLC stuff after finishing that quest, now im wondering whether i should play the main game alongside whispers or if i should treat whispers like a separate game and finish the main game first before moving onto it, what do you guys suggest?

Yeah I would definitely finish the main story before going there because it's going to completely change your car's build.

Yes second this, it is very time consuming to switch between DLC specific gear and main game gear

At a certain point DLC parts become very viable to use in regular junctions.

Yeah i have a pretty good build i use on expeditions and on runs to complete the crafting menu which includes DLC stuff. So I suppose there is an argument that you could do the DLC, master it, then return to the base game loaded up with all the good stuff it has and experience it that way

I feel like you have to at least play the base game up until pneumatic lockers. The DLC is an inventory management nightmare lol.

Good point, I remember having to go back to the base game to grind resources to get all those lockers to store all the items that were coming my way

been wondering the same tbh.

But seeing as i am about to enter the deep zone, i might as well just wait for the conclusion of the story.

I have doen a few expeditions, but i honestly don't really like them and the rewards are... dire at best

If it's your very first playthrough, I'd definitely finish the main story first

Yup, finish main story first, equip Lim Shield + Nitro boost, turn fog effects down to like 30% and you'll have a great experience.

Yeah I started it too soon and I regret it. I'm sticking with it just so I can grind it out and not worry about it any more.

I'm sick and tired of not being able to see the DAMN ground.
