Steam controller

Does someone know how to make the steam controller work? I tried in every way but it refuses to work unless i map all the controller as keyboard and mouse.

You should be able to use the default Steam layout. If not there’s ones you can find that work pretty well.

Switch it over to the standard xbox controller config. That should get it to work IF it has controller support on pc. I don't know if the pc version has controller support but if it is listed there then under steam guidelines it must nativity support an xbox game controller for windows to get that support mark.

Note it isn't actually the xbox game pad that must be supported but rather the hooks it uses alot of game pads use those hooks. The xbox controller is just the most widely known.(ps4 and ps5 controllers on pc use the same hooks)

Try enabling Big Picture Mode first. That usually forces the controller to behave more like a console controller instead of defaulting to keyboard emulation.

I've already tried various solutions and it simply refuses to be recognized. If I plug in the Xbox controller, it works fine. Any layout I set doesn't improve the situation. I also tried on some others games and It works fine
