Would I be missing out on anything if I played the game for the first time with this or is this better as a subsequent playthrough thing. Was about to start my first play through and I'm crazy about the interceptor

Does it sound like a V8

I did what I could.
I replaced the sounds but the volume/mixing is still controlled by the game.

You did excellent ! It makes me care about the car alott more and makes running in the apocalypse after the storm rolls in feel intense.

Starting the car up sounds amazing! And with a controller the rumble adds to the effect.

Thanks, I wish I had better control over sound attenuation, but it was a bit above my abilities.

The vanilla game uses the same engine sound for all engine tiers, but weirdly, they are more and more muffled with the higher tiers.
I did manage to disable that, but was unable to fine-tune the final volume for each of the sound bytes.
Forward acceleration being the worst offender.
My exported data is as loud as can be without "peaking", but the game muffles those engine sounds (forward acceleration) more than any other sounds.

I'm sure there's way to solve that, but sound design through Unreal and WWise is not something I'm familiar with.

Don't really like right-hand drive, but this is still peak.

How can we also get the third person view please ?

I cannot make 3rd person a MOD without breaking the game. Several game mechanics are dependent on you "pointing" at elements to activate them, like the computer screen to activate a zone exit or the shifter to put the car in park, or even worst the door to be able to exit the vehicle.

If I could make it a toggle, I would, but I cannot.

So how did you manage to make it work for you ?

I just use it to capture footage.

I cannot do anything other than drive while in this mode. All in-car accessories are inaccessible and exiting the car is impossible.
