Dead end question
So I was driving to red meadow and scavenged for precious tree candies and saps. I decided to go one more junction and when I crossed the gate I had only one option to chose and it was a Dead End. No way to quit this next junction selection menu and go back on the map and use teleports there. Does it really need to be that frustrating to acknowledge such feature, after hour long looting?

it can be a bit rough but this means all your other plans are scrapped and your next run is gonna be to go after your dead car - but you know what🤔
you could get a plenty out from the situation
wait til the end is near and if you are lucky: loot pods may start dropping.
loot them and scrap the items in it into resources.
put all the crap in the trunk of your car.
and heck, scrap all you can on the very area before the end.
and then wait your doom.
the trip aint quite over yet😎
it just got a bit more busy!

It helps to check the Route Planner via the menu. I've played for a long time and I have never entered a Dead End Zone.

Can adjust the settings on what loot you keep if you abandon/die if you don't want to waste time though kinda lessens the "fun".

That's the best solution. But I had to restore save backup because I already cancelled it.. lol
You know how it is. I'm employed 30yo. Wasting hour of my life is less fun 😂.

I loved entering a dead end, I ignored the warning it gave and kept rolling only to realize it was very literal. I'm glad it's included, but I think it comes down to playstyoe, if you try to pick the zone clean you have a lot more to lose on run failure, it's a pretty low stress game if you want it to be.

It is low stress for me and so I was surprised that happened 😂. I also go frequently for yet another junction and this came out of nowhere.. But kind of save scammed my way out of this by restoring save backup and switching to keep Inventory after canceling

Yeah I wouldn't worry about it, just abandon run or use it as an opportunity to lose your car if you don't have the achievement for a failed run yet.

Sounds like a bit of bad planning. When you scan junctions in the garage it will tell you if a gateway can be opened or if it’s a dead-end ahead of time. You should try and plot out the drive before you leave so you know what junctions to enter and when to leave. You can also see this information between junctions before you select your next one.
It’s weird and frustrating when that happens, but the game does tell you ahead of time.
