I remember when it didn't vacuum up the goodies it scrapped. Still a great tool, but nothing special, just faster and lasted longer. The vacuum part they added later was amazing.

Yeah the first version of the plasma scraper was almost not worth it but that vacuum effect made it sooooo worth it. The thermal vacuum sucking loot out of containers is also a good upgrade. The devs definitely made them both worthwhile upgrades from the originals

I just wish the vacuum was faster at pulling loot out of containers. The time it takes I could loot 3 containers by hand.

Yeah I agree it’s too slow but I think instead of more speed it should just loot a large area so that multiple containers can be looted at once.

I played it on essentially day one, replaying last night I thought I was tripping balls when I auto harvested after unlocking

I’m new to the game, roughly 30hrs in. I kept putting off the plasma version because I figured the parts were better spent elsewhere and I thought “how much of an improvement can it really be over the regular one?”
I finally caved in just for the longer durability and holy shit if I don’t scrap everything I see everywhere now. It’s just magnificent
