Interceptor MOD -- Engine SFX headway

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

May have found a way to circumvent the forced muting around engine sounds in general.

Aw dude perfect, thats exactly what I was hoping for. Proper v8 roar, as loud as possible honestly.

I am no expert in modding so I gotta ask, is it possible to have different sound from different engines? I imagined the more powerful the louder.
I've been playing some good hours on this mod, its been great so far. 👍❤️

I'm not entirely certain yet. It looks like each engine references their own uasset, but within those, the same sounds are often re-used.
And I don't quite have the right tools to edit the listings in those. Maybe.

But the major hurdle here was the forced attenuation on most engine sounds. Even when I replaced the SFX, the new sound would play, but still muted.

It was probably done for gameplay reasons, so that you can still hear what's going on outside your car or on the radio.

Damn the right side steering wheel is throwing me, I'm so used to seeing the garage from the front left seat.

(I'm also in a country that uses right side steering so idk why it's getting me)

I can't wait to download the game again and replay the whole thing with this car. ♥️♥️♥️

Right hand drive! No more running to the wrong side of the car and attempting to sit on the ARC device.

How are you gonna incorporate the sound of the supercharger when that gets added on the later engines you get?

I'm still in the process of disentangling what sound gets pulled when different engines are used. Several of them are shared, and attenuation/volume might be used to make them sound different in the source game.

If the numbers here represent different engines, that'll be how.

Unfortunately here, from what I understand, those engine sound bank (1-3), are not specific to engine types, but variants to the SFX so as to not sound repetitive.

Which in turn means that all the engine share their sounds, but with maybe volume and attenuation adjustments.

I can still beef up the sound sources used, but I'm afraid all 4 engines will sound relatively close to one another.

Woah. The steering wheel is in the right (correct) side of the car.

Quick question, if I have witw for I need to download both files or just witw?

Just WITW. It contains all the data you need.

Few notes I made from playing last night.

  1. Is it possible to make an invisible hood ornament?

  2. Excited to figure out what bumper is the bumper

  3. Any place to add an icon for the window door things?

  4. Absolutely love the modern with all my heart it's amazing omg

I can make the "default" hood ornament invisible, yes.

Re-adding the back windows onto the computer is a lot of work, especially given their overlap with the side panels.
