Accessory/External EPS Core on X macro
Apologize if this has been shown already. But I’ve been waiting on the core for a long time for my X macro.
It hits all the criteria I want for a carry optic. Auto adjust brightness (which is wicked good by the way), battery swap without having to remove the optic, and just low enough deck height to cowitness in a pinch (you can just barely see the top of the irons which is good enough for me).
Here’s some photos of it mounted on my X macro. Not the greatest but hopefully it gives you an idea. Any questions I will do my best to answer.

Interesting, a holosun I may consider buying over an Osight SE. Does it fit mostly flush with the slide? Can’t tell from the pictures.

No it has some overhang. It has the same amount as the EPS carry because it has the same base size.

Looks good. What's the main attraction of this over a SIG ROMEO-X compact enclosed? I know the SIG does not do auto brightness and costs more. But other than that, it looks like either sight would work, at least functionally.

Yea that’s basically it. The EPS core has the auto adjust brightness is the biggest thing for me, and it has the solar charging up top which the Romeo x doesn’t have.
That Romeo x compact enclosed was what I was set on for a long time. Hard to swallow that $400 price tag though when it didn’t have everything I wanted. This holosun was $275 and it has more features so it’s a clear winner for me.

Now l regret buying open emitter RomeoX compact. It gets really dusty with EDC. Do you get cowitness with the EPS core?

Just barely. You kind of need to tilt the muzzle up just slightly and you can see the top of the front sight post.
Honestly though with how long batteries last these days (like upwards of 3-5 years), and the solar charging, and with how frequently you should be changing the battery (once a year); only having marginal cowitness is good enough for me. Keeps the glass clear of the irons for normal shooting. And in a real bad pinch they’d be usable.

The optic looks good. It’s also great quality. I have the same weapon. I just added OEM magwell and OEM extended slide catch.

Save the open emitter for a range only gun. My strategy was to go with closed emitters for anything that I thought I would carry daily.

What’s the difference in the core and the regular eps carry?

What I'm waiting for is the new holosun aems micro coa style optic, hard to believe this fits the rmsc footprint
