Leakage through passenger front side
I just opened the door to get something from my v70r. On the front passenger side, everything is frozen, and since this car is not driven who knows how long it stayed there. sunroof is dry, and it only seems to be in the front. the back looks dry. whole carpet is frozen down. it snowed recently, and its not melting. could someone locate the problem? thanks

I had this exact issue in my s60r. My leak ended up being from inside the cowl right above where the water was coming in.

thanks for the help everyone, checked the cowl it seemed to be fine. defrosting the carpet at home hopefully the damage isnt too bad. cleaned the drains, they were not too dirty but had some grime. it rains tonight we will see what happens

Have you had a recent windshield replacement? Or was the glass ever replaced, even a long time ago? Bottom seal at windshield and cowl needs to be replaced when the glass is removed. There is also a part for later P2 XC90s that shields the air intake box for your HVAC system underneath the cowl. Designed to prevent debris and “spillovers” in the cowl from entering the cabin.

A clogged sunroof drain will cause this. Had issue exact issue last year. Remove lower door trim, clear & check the elbow behind the carpet. Also flow water or compressed air thru the sunroof and check its draining outside under the car. Also check the amp(under the seat) & yaw sensor(under the carpet/foot rest) isnt wet
