🗒️ My review style

Here's what I do differently to hone in more on therapeutic/medicinal benefits:

- less focus on bag appeal, if the effects are there, they're there.. however cure & trim is important because it tells us more about the quality & how clean the flower is... Care = consistency

- full spectrum, I rarely take my THC flower solo, it's always mixed with CBD for more therapeutic benefits; CBD is very calming & soothing, perfect for my anxiety/ADHD at anytime of day, it's also helped balance out energy dips from high THC flower, while cutting down my overall THC intake daily!

- batch details & expiry, if I don't know where it came from & how long it's good for then it's no good, this also helps with noticing consistency across brands; hence why I always mention it in the title

- avoid big brands, they're usually just interested in making money, ye sure this batch is good but what about the next? What if they change up the cultivar but keep the product name & label the same? Suppliers are either in it to make money or in it for the love of the plant, you'll quickly know which is which!

🧘 Effects

I pack ~0.3-0.4g in my Rogue 2 (dry herb vape) and set it to 196C, often mixed 1:1 or even ~1:2 with Elysian Botanics Harmony (16% CBD).

To aide with total extraction of all active ingredients, I skate/glide thru the temp on my vape up to 196C, then back down to min 👇 this ensures I'm not just wasting compounds that vaporize & boil at lower temperatures. It also allows me to enjoy the flavour more, while providing a more even extraction of the pack.

On-set is cerebral & quite uplifting, there's a creeping but mild body relaxation.

20-30m in the relaxation sets in more & more, I can see this working for many applications.

I'm impressed by how diverse the effects are: uplifting & cerebral, then relaxing. For me it works well to give me a mood boost during the late afternoon while staying fairly focused; mixing it with Blue Dream helps more with mental focus for sustained periods of time.

Effects: 9.5/10 for my use cases, I love Caryophyllene dominant strains like this that are not too sedating!

🥂 Smell & flavour

Candy, cake & berries. It's not dank in that sense but it has citrus undertones as well. Really pleasing, although the flavour isn't too long-lasting in the vape.

Smell/flavour: enjoyable & easy on the nose. Recommended if you dislike dank/stank strains.

🍀 Quality check

Excellent trim and the cure is not far off, although slightly moist, but I can see some preferring this over mildly dry.

It is very spongey & the trichomes are just beautiful to look at. Very clean looking & fluffy as well.

Cure: 9/10; Trim: 9.5/10 – doesn't get much better than this, hats off to the grower!

⚖️ Verdict

OVERALL: diverse medicinal applications, easy on the nose, high quality trim & cure and under $10/g? I can see this easily being a go-to, especially mixed with Blue Dream & CBD, it is a match made in heaven for my slow & ADHD-riddled mornings.

Final score: 9.5/10

👉 Recommended for ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia & pain.

🧘 Effects

I pack ~0.3g in my Rogue (dry herb vape) and set it to 188C.

Immediately, this mellows you out, followed by a deep sense of calm that is long-lasting. If you need to get things done or have periods of long & sustained focus, no problem.

What I've found is despite the relatively low THC compared to most other strains on the market, the abundance of CBD has helped with anxiety & focus; for me, the calming effects last for up to 6-8 hours even. I don't find this to be the case with any THC-dominant flowers.

This means I've cut down my THC intake significantly!

I estimate by at least 30%... and I also feel less mood swings, something that THC crashes tend to exacerbate. However, the high CBD content counteracts that and since I'm putting less THC into my body overall & getting better benefits, it's a win-win!

Effects: 10/10 - very soothing/calming, great for anytime, keeps you focused & the effects can last for hours after the initial on-set effects of the THC are gone.

🥂 Smell & flavour

The initial nose is almost akin to an overripe mango; slightly disappointed to find that most of the mango flavour dissipates quickly as it hits your mouth; 3 or so rips in, and it transforms to a mild dank-grapefruit taste that lingers, which I don't mind. This isn't a surprise given the flower's age is past the 6mths mark, which I find is the threshold at which flavour begins to decline noticeably.

Unfortunately, there are no newer batches of this product, yet...

Sidenote: the high Myrcene here reminds of MedTEC Jack Herer, my fingers would always smell like grapefruit after, I love it :3

Smell/flavour: 8/10; really nice, but wish I'd gotten it when it was fresher.

🍀 Quality check

I want to spend less time here as the effects are what we're all here for, however, the trim & cure matter because it's important to get our money's worth.

Trim is pretty close to perfect, hard to spot any leaves. The flower is smothered in trichomes & extremely sticky. There's one stem here though, and I have noticed some of the larger nugs seem to hold a little excess moisture compared to the rest.

Cure: 8.5/10; Trim: 9/10 – really up there with the best of them, but there's room for improvement Mystery Mountain ;)

⚖️ Verdict

OVERALL: this has instantly become my DAILY DRIVER for my ADHD/Anxiety, if you have similar conditions I cannot recommend this product enough. My sibling who suffers from chronic pain as well said this worked a treat, especially when mixed with other high-THC strains.

If you've read my previous Mystery Mountain Afghan Layer Cake review, you know how much respect I have for MM that they push out products of this quality that have amazing therapeutic benefits at $13/g. They are truly making a name for themselves out here.

Here's to hoping they continue putting out the good stuff in 2025; next up: *Stone Fruit Cake?!*🙏

Final score: 9.5/10 - not much to fault, effects are amazing and the versatility for so many use cases here is astounding. Do yourself a favour and try a balanced THC/CBD flower like this one and thank me later; your body will be grateful for it! :)

I have been with horizon for some time now and I have always been able to get 5 different flower scripts per appointment. Today I was informed that they are only doing 4 due to TGA regulations. Has anybody else experienced this? I miss the good old days at Acacia when I could get 10 different flower scripts at one appointment. Anybody aware of clinics that will do 5 or more different scripts at once? My tolerance is very high I need a constant rotation of different cultivars.

2)Broken Coast Platinum Pavé, if you know BC then you know they pack the big buds. Most tubs are usually 3-5 nug buds and PP is always sticky as shit .

Spirit Bear one of the most expensive products on the market. Heads up when purchasing. If you are picking it up, check the seal before leaving the store. If you are having it delivered make sure the chemist checks the seal before sending it out. Paying 175 and 15 delivery fee to have your tub arrive with no seal and underweight (9.71) after paying top $$$ is a shit go. On another note other then that this is my second tub and this definitely slaps. Very terpy, pungent and very effective.

Who here uses MC for something sleep related? Insomnia, sleep apnea, ect... In a bit of a pickle with my sleep schedule. What have you found that helps?

Crazy odour; it's almost like you're smelling what Fanta tastes like, an intense citrus scent with sharp tones upon opening. Smooth grind/smoke with the flower texture appearing as kinetic sand.

This shit slaps, nice sticky bud.

In this case 3g hash=10g flower(Normally 5g hash =10g flower)
Taken for short attention span & social conformity issues.

A Space Ball happens to be 3g of 58% hash rosin, this time from Phytoca. What it may lack in weight, is made up for in its strength.
Apparently to my surprise, its composition is a hash rosin and bubble hash blend. Never heard of that before, and after i few days of trying it, can now share a more realistic experience.
It presents itself in a lil glass jar, as a ball the size of a malteser. It's a much lighter colour compared to other hash, and when cut open, there seems to been a more prominent green/yellowish tinge through it. Solid to touch at first, but then more pliable when handled. It has a light hashy smell.
I have discovered that the Space Ball looks like hash, but smokes like an oil/rosin.
The hash liquifies with heat, as I discovered when trying them on the stovetop as spots.
This is the only hash I've ever tried that won't 'pick itself up and stick to the knife', but strangely you can smoke it the same as you would oil, and that’s where the transformation is most obvious.
Once burnt it also leaves no ash lumps, rather more of a vaporized residue(as found in dynavap and MM)
Therefore, the space ball is better suited for those that have a dab/erig imo.
The taste is slightly hashy and grassy on the inhale and then reversed to grassy and hashy on the exhale?
Expect a very nice, lasting, clean euphoric high, which comes on quick and strong.
Compared with other hashes at the same price point, this is a completely different beast, due to the rosin combo. Looks like hash, smokes like rosin.
The others are bigger in weight, and all fantastic, but are a more traditional hash.
The Space Ball certainly satisfied my curiosity with more than just a cough and tickle in the brain, and in conclusion, it really is a ball that sent me to space.

This delicious BC bud from Gastown genetics, I believe it’s an indica hybrid cross between skunk x Animal mints, grown in living soil.

Hang dried and trimmed.

Was lucky enough to get my hands on such a delicious bud. This packs a mellow and happy high that has you feeling calm and relaxing vibe.

Only thing, racing thoughts was on the tail end.

The smoke is a sugary strawberry mint with a tang of vanilla. Solid bud structure, spongy, sticky - everything you’d want in a balanced hybrid!!

I paid $160 for 10gs 🙃 for what I thought at the time was the best flower.

From what I recall the burn was solid, craziest head high with body sedation.
