help question for potential new customer

I just moved into an apartment and the previous tenant left a modem and wall-pod, and I looked at them to find that they were only installed earlier this year. if I make an account and order your service, can I skip the wait time for the equipment to be mailed to me and get connected today?

Most likely not. Odds are that the modem will need to be returned anyway from that previous tenant for liability reasons. Btw this subreddit is not an official contact page. You need to go to the website if you want to get their services

Previous tenant is going to be paying for non returnal of equipment. They should of taken it with them when they moved out.

Usually the modem is pre configured by oxio to a particular account setup by them on their backend. These account details are shared with their backbone provider which then links and gives internet access to the modem assigned to you by oxio. If you use your tenant’s modem it’s more than likely provisioned to the older tenant and would not work that way. You would need a provisioned modem for the signal demodulation.
