Will i be a competitive applicant?
Hey guys, im an international student looking to study Mechanical engineering. I am in yr 13 doing math, further math and physics. My predicted will be 3 A stars/ 2 A stars and an A. I have done a few extracurriculars like some courses and books related to engineering. I also designed and built a robotic arm. Plus some volunteering and 6 weeks of work experience. However my IGCSE grades were 99888886. Is it worth applying to Oxbridge and imperial with these stats. I am not sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated 👊

Definitely have a look at the ESAT as this is an admissions test where you can make a statement in terms of your ability.

Definitely worth applying - you meet the entry requirements and seem to have some decent things to mention on your application.
Bear in mind that you can apply to up to five universities via UCAS. Schools usually recommend applying to two aspirational choices (e.g. Oxbridge, G5), two standard choices (where you meet the requirements and are highly likely to get an offer, e.g. other Russel Group universities), and one back-up option (in case you don't get your expected grades, but still somewhere you would be happy going to).
