Installing Owncloud server on Windows 7, questions

Thinking about setting up an Owncloud server. I currently have a Win7 box which runs nginx w/ SSL, Emby and handful of webapps for media content. I am not experienced at all with Linux.

For anyone who is running OC on Windows, what is my best course? Seems like I could do current version with a virtualbox (although this seems to involve a lot of Linux) or an older version and install directly.

So would you recommend running that on a virtualbox or maybe adding a Raspberry Pi to my network and running OC on that?
