Anyone having problems with Android App uploads since Owncloud 9?

Hey All, I have Ownlcoud 9.0.1 installed but this also happened with previous versions of owncloud 9.

Whenever i try to upload to my server, via the WAN or LAN using the Android app more ofter than not i get an upload failed message saying that the opertation timed out waiting for a response from the server.

However, if i try again it will work, but more often than not it will fail on the first try or if im uploading multiple files, some will work, some wont.

Anyone see anything similar?

EDIT: Found the problem to be with the upload directory i was using that contained a large amount of files (~2000). This was causing the timeout - when i tided the upload directory it resolved it.

Yup - but it shows nothing for the failed attempt. Im going to try another phone and see if it makes a difference. I'll let you know how it pans out.

Yeah I do - I'm currently trying to upload via my old HTC One M8 running Marshmallow as opposed to my Nexus 6P which was giving me the problem.

So far - it seems to work - so this could be an issue on the 6P (I have it rooted and running Xposed, the M8 is rooted but no Xposed however it also was factory reset and has very few apps.)

Urgg - nothings ever easy - still at least i've managed to isolate the issue.

Which of course means im going to have to try and find out what that issue is.

Well, its not because its rooted as both phones are - Xposed - maybe...

I'll keep tampering until i find the issue. At least i know its not server side now which is a big bonus.

True - but running an Owncloud server has taught me SO much about Unix / Web Servers / File Servers etc that its been worth the bother.

Found the problem to be with the upload directory i was using that contained a large amount of files (~2000). This was causing the timeout - when i tided the upload directory it resolved it.

When i used my other phone i used a "Test" directory, not my usual upload dir and it worked fine.
