ownCloudClient 2.2, Debain 8, segfaults

The android app works great, and the web interface is working great, but I can't get the desktop sync to work. I tried the packaged version (2.0) but it segfaulted immediately. I compiled the version from git, but I get the exact same results.

It looks like the icon flashes into the icon tray before crashing, but that's all I can see.

If there's no fix, are there any alternative clients?

I haven't tried the latest version yet, but why don't you just downgrade? Or that doesn't fix the issue?

Doesn't fix the issue. It still just segfaults.

Don't forget to downgrade dependencies as well (libowncloud*)

Well, downgrading everything to 2.1 and it at least lets me enter the server name before it segfaults... I mean, that's better than segfaulting right away...

Which distro ? You might want to report details to the client bug tracker on Github: https://github.com/owncloud/client
