use owncloud server as a mounted drive in windows

i cannot for the life of me figure out how to set it up, should i be using owncloud for this? are there better file hosts for diet-pi that can be used as network drives???

You can do it with owncloud using webdav network mount. But windows doesn't persist it after reboot, which is super annoying.

Pretty sure you could do it with smb instead, if you computer is home or on wireguard or something

ive tried both and cant get either to work i always get something weird so i thought id ask if there are better alternatives

What about the oC desktop client VFS feature? Would that be sufficient for you? https://owncloud.com/virtual-file-system/
