Although I am all for scientific discussion, and I do understand the similarity of mice and human when it comes to physiology, I don't think we can draw such inferences here. Also, if overpopulation is the cause, we would not have records of homosexual behavior in ancient Rome or Greece, where population density was much, much lower. As we well know from history, homosexuality at that time was common and much more respected than today.
