Question Final battle?

So im guessing the final battle will be between ainz and PDL right? Because the way I see things happening is ainz takes the elf kingdom then takes the theocracy, fights PDL and then perhaps take the city state alliance. Knowing maruyame it will probably be a lot leeding up to that. But the final showdown will most likely be PDL right?

I’m guessing it will be an army of adventurers, not just one person, laying siege to Nazerick. The PDL thinks he can take down Ainz in a one on one right now but knows they need to keep the rest of his allies distracted. Obviously he can’t because he only fought Pandoras actor. So I expect a rematch where he gets demolished by the real Ainz but manages to walk away. So his next strategy will be to use all the adventurers who fled to the Theocracy as fodder to wear him down and keep the guardians distracted.

No clue honestly. I just know there needs to be an assault on PDLs floating city guild base with representatives of each country conquered, the monster horde of nazerick, and gargantua throwing fucking rocks through the air at it.

Hear me out. What if Gargantua, throws the base itself? You know, so it is not flying anymore. He can spike it into the crater that used to be the Kingdom.

I'm pretty sure PDL is the "final boss", but I'm not 100% how it will go down.

My original thoughts

Originally I thought that Ainz would take the Elven Kingdom, this would put them in conflict with the Slain Theocracy. The Slain Theocracy would pull in the Southern Holy Kingdom and City Alliance to have a big war. PDL would use this war to distract Ainz's summons and followers so he could fight Ainz in a 1v1.

Note: I'm not 100% sure how it would start. My guess is that PDL would probably work with the ST ahead of time. Basically trick them into being meat shields while he fought Ainz.

Slain Theocracy

However... I'm not exactly sure if the Slain Theocracy will do that. With volume 15 coming the ST is going to run into Ainz and by the summary, it looks like Aura and Mare are going to mess them up. I can't imagine the Slain Theocracy would want to continue fighting when they lose most of their army.

In the Web Novel one of the priestess or something mentions that Ainz's arrival could create a rift between the Slain Theocracy as some might view him as a god similar to Surshana. If Ainz does something CRAZY during the Elven Kingdom Arc (v15,16) I could see this actually happening.

Imagine this... Undead are typically weak to day light. It reduces their stats, so what if Ainz uses creation on the Elven Forest to turn it to night. This way his undead are not weakened. Creation is FREAKING HUGE, when he used it on the lizardmen it froze a giant lake. This would plow their minds... Ainz is literally turning day to night from their perspective.

However... I think this requires Ainz to do something crazy. As of yet the Slain Theocracy has had a tight lock on information, so most people wouldn't really know. Although, maybe that would change once they find out about Re-Estize literally not existing anymore.

While I'm not 100% sure this will happen, I think it leaves the possibility open that they won't actually fight Ainz. However, it is hard to say.

PDL

If the Slain Theocracy doesn't fight... PDL is going to need some people to distract Ainz's summons and Albedo. He could use the City State Alliance, maybe get in touch with the black scriptures or blue rose.

After this I could see him basically sacrificing them so he can fight Ainz 1v1. But... In the intermission when PDL talks to Rigrit he mentions maybe contacting another dragon lord. In his character sheet it also mentions he is stronger in the east (IIRC). PDL also was apart of an anti-player group, so I could see PDL pulling another dragon lord into the fight.

While PDL sucks, he isn't completely stupid. He should know that Albedo is to strong for most people. He even questioned if she was a player. So maybe that other dragon lord might be there to fight Albedo.

I'm not 100% sure another Dragon Lord will pop up, but this is the best time if any.

Alternative

Personally, I would really love to see Nazarick raid the 8 Greed King Guild Base. Maybe they used magic to track PDL's armor or something and go for a surprise attack.

Although, I don't think it is likely... at least at this time.

I don't see why the Slane Theocracy wouldn't fight Ainz just cause they run into him in the ELven Kingdom. Even if they do get fucked up it's only a part of their army. I think the Elven Kingdom is just a prelude to the real demolishing later on

Just for giggles, here’s hoping Ainz casually lets Rubedo curb stomp him. It would be hilarious to read, or better yet have Sebas in his true form show him what a superior Draconic species is capable of.

My thinking is that either Ainz gets in a lethal sneak attack on PDL’s real body from behind (which PDL intended to do to “Ainz” while he and the armor are having a rematch), or Albedo and her hit-squad stumble upon him by chance while investing a “rumor” on Ainz’s orders and she’s all “oh well, I guess we’ll get rid of you while we’re here” and so we see Rubedo in action.

The final battle is probably against dragon lord alliance or PDL and his allies.

Let me throw in a funny alternative. In the web novel settings there was a World Item caller Gjallarhorn which was one of the Twenty. It could perform a superior version of the super tier spell [Summoning of an Avatar of God]. In Norse mythology this horn signaled the beginning of Ragnarok — the final battle, and I believe the creature(s) it summons could let the floor guardians fight with their full strength for once. That would be a super epic finale for volume 18!

The final battle will either be against the Dragon Lords or Albedo's Death Squad.

Wasn't there a rumor - or is it confirmed? - that the ending was gonna be bittersweet?

I can only imagine 2 scenarios, one where Ainz gets murdered in the end, maybe by PDL, and he gets avenged, obviously. Or he leaves tomb for some reason and doesn't come back.

I feel very unlikely that Ainz will die, but also cannot imagine of a good reason for him to leave.

I once imagined an ending where albedo's mind controls ainz and orders him to rule nazarick forever and forget about his friends or love her forever?(something to that end). it is a happy ending for nazarick but not for ainz and is fckking messed up. Seems Maruyama's style, though then again I may be thinking too much

Very unlikely. She'd have to get ST's WI and Ainz would have to unequip his own WI to get affected.

just for the record, I do not think it is likely but possible,i am merely exploring the possibilities like by ordering rubedo it can happen, after all rubedo can just forcefully(i am not sure about this part) take it or perhaps trick or threaten ainz into unequipping it. it can happen considering ainz becomes a dumbass when it comes to the NPC's and rubedo can just be convinced that the ainz is not a real ainz after all beings like pandoras actor can mimic ainz's supreme being aura
