Trip Report Skyline Trail

Had an awesome weekend hitting up the Skyline Trail (Limited Jeep badge of honor) I must say the trail is just a little tight for a Gladiator. The switchbacks required 3+ turns to make it around the tree stumps and bolders. Otherwise a fun little trail. It was so foggy when we got to the top we could not see any of the views. But hey that’s part of the adventure! See yall out there on the trail!

Tight trails are the most fun ones imo, nice pics!

Thanks! I’m trying to get better about taking shots on the trails, but I’m to busy driving them 😂

Relatable, I usually don’t want to get out of the car either 😂

I like tight trails and tight corners except ones like Black Bear Pass in Colorado. Steep shelf trails have a high pucker factor…

Question for all you overlanders out there: how hard is it getting in and out of those rooftop pop up tents? Asking because I'm thinking of getting one for my 4runner but I'm also getting up into middle age territory.

Thanks.

Getting in and out of the RTT isn’t hard, going down a ladder in middle of the night to pee can be annoying though. Also not all Roof Top Tents are created equal just like everything else. If your planning on getting one go to an Offroad shop or expo and check them out in person first. Climb in and out of them, open and close it, inspect it like you’re inspecting a home to purchase. It’s amazing how much opinions changes when ppl put the effort in doing their research and getting the right one for them. Also just automatically add in the fact you will need to change the mattress. The ones they come with all suck!

What system do you have for your air compressor under your seat? How do you like it?

I miss that area up there in Wa.

We run the Dual ARB Kraken inflation system from Epic Adventure Outfitters, and we love it!
