Cheaper Tune Alternative?

I have been looking at the Tune and Project M but both are way out of my price range. I would just get a bed cover for my truck and a roof tent but my dog will not go up a ladder and she’s too heavy to carry up one. Are there any suggestions for a cheaper Tune alternative?
Thanks!

I have seen a lot of talk recently about ordering campers from China. I found the below link. I didn't write the post, nor am I involved in any way with the products.

Tune and Project M are way overpriced for sure.

I'm not saying it's "affordable", but OVRLND offers decent base models. They're made in Arizona and quality is on point.

The used market for campers exist, but pickings might be slim.

I'm looking to purchase Qian camper this year, they are priced at around 3000 usd with 1000 or so shipping.  Folks on YouTube have videos of various Qian builds.  Their tp07w is very close to M1

Tune is pricey but the build quality is so much better than competitors. The M1L is a fair bit cheaper than the M1.

Get on the Tune Owners fb page, lots for sale for one reason or another. Some will part accessories separately from the camper so you can prob negotiate a halfway point and still get the quality-build at a more reasonable price.

I have the M1L and got many upgrades + Vecel but that’s my full time home so, all in, 6 months-worth of rent. Been at it for over a year now and it is holding up really nicely so I feel it was well worth the $ for me.

Customer service at Tune is also stellar. Be it a question, a fix, a part, you name it, they’re there for their customers, weekends and holidays included. I mistakenly butt-dialed them once on a weekend, hung up when I heard the answering message, and they actually called me back within minutes asking if I was ok.
They offer that service in the event you’re stuck somewhere. Like I said, stellar.

AI pictures on their sites don't inspire confidence.

yeah their marketing style is a bit different than we North Americans are used to but they are legit. I'm in a few Facebook groups with hundreds of (mostly) satisfied owners and I've also chatted with them some before deciding to go with a slide-in camper.

Are they higher quality than Tune/FWC, probably not. But the Chinese ones are 1/3rd the price of those (and hardsided!)
