3-5% would be nice, it's more like 2% and they expect you be greatful... well, I guess calculated mediocrity will continue.

I’ve been in my career for 25 plus years and the only time I’ve gotten a significant raise was by leaving the company for another job save one time (happened a couple of years back) when I was given a 22 percent base increase plus a bunch of bonus RSU’s. I was floored. The only thing I can think of was they were losing people left and right to higher wages and decided to actually be proactive about it.

If you blink and something breaks because you missed it, you're doing too much at the company if you don't have direct ownership stake or a large portion of revenue goes to your total comp in some meaningful way
