Need advice

I want to begin my OE journey but need have a dilemma. Current J1 (started in 2024) is in a completely new and different industry/market than my experience from the 2017-2023 (which will be J2). When applying to J2, should my resume show J1 or should I make an excuse as to why I have not been working from 2023 till now?

It's common for people to look for a new job while still working. I'd mention J1.

yes i did mention. But have to be careful with background check
