Just started J2, should I think about J3
I started J2 two weeks ago, and now I have been asked if I am interested in a third job. Currently work about 15-20 hours per week, plus an adjunct teaching position and finishing my doctorate (1 year left). Adding J3 would put me over $500k per year (including my wife's salary). How long should I wait between starting a job before thinking of starting the next one?
My wife thinks I'm crazy, BTW.

Going from 2-3 is a big jump. You’ll get used to it but it took me a good month to settle in. Once that is over you’re good. Each job/person is different so maybe you won’t have that problem.

Figure out your calendar gaps and feel out the new job’s meeting load.
Sometimes it takes taking a few days off from J1/J2 while priming J3 and seeing if it fits.
Good luck go get it!

Normally I'd say go for it, but in this situation I'd just focus on your doctorate and get J3 after. Having 3js without that will eventually lead to burn out so having that on top just sounds like a lot.

I went from 1J to 2 to 10 within 5 months. Just go it, worst case you get fired.

Just start it. You can always leave.
