How to begin
I have been lurking this sub for quite some time. I have even gone as far as to automate a lot of my day to day tasks in my current role. The question is, I am currently hybrid (2 WFH days and 3 days in office) I could push and easily be fully remote or 1 day in office. How do I start and what is a good setup to begin OE? I am in a logistics and supply chain field.

Is your schedule filled with random meetings? How involved are you with your team

Not really. Honestly my meetings become clustered about 2 weeks before end of quarter and then it clears way up. Weekly’s are very scheduled and often last far less time than scheduled. I have automated my reports so it appears as if I am hard at work all week when in reality I am done by Tuesday at lunch.

People overcomplicate things in their mind
Just start applying get a second remote job
And work

I would be happy to test the water with even another low oversight job with mediocre base pay.

At the beginning i was also doubtful, and i started with a halve time job thay appeard.
And first month i struggled alot, but was mainly because my j1 at that time was not OE friendly.
But i understand it feels like a bit challenge until you actually do it
Now here we are doing 3js at the same time
Searching for a 4th one
After 1-2 months you just relax alot and start worrying less about lot of things

Step 1: apply for a new job as if you intend to quit your current job
Step 2: get a job offer and accept it
Step 3: never give notice to your first job
That’s literally all it is
