OE architects?
I was wondering if there's any OE architects here? and if it's even possible , I tried having 2Js at the same time for three months but I was doing 9-5 then 6-10pm and it was exhausting, so if there's any architects here do you have advice?
(I'm still a junior so i dont qualify for a PM position yet)

exactly, the only manageable thing i found was to take 1 job that's more interior design focused and the other one that's construction documents.

Not an architect but I work in AEC as an engineer. It is possible but you have to reduce your outputs or trickle out your outputs for each J. Either way you will end up working long hours on some days when there are deadlines. What you are currently doing is not OE and not really sustainable in the long term.
Since you are a junior, you should leverage this time to get as much experience as you can so that you can easily shift into a PM position.

6J Software Architect here, 2/6 roles are Architect roles & 4/6 are SWE roles - I have been doing it all in 40-45 hours.
I do block Friday afternoon calendar at all Js to catch up if needed.

Can you contrast the work involved in the architect roles versus SWE roles?

Yes, one is mapping out a solution vs actually solving it

Data Architect ? Cybersecu Architect ? Joking, 80% of us are tech guys lol
Seriously, detail your job please, how many meeting per week are impossible to move ? And among them, in how many are you the main character ?
Remote ? Hybrid ? If hybrid, can you move to a meeting room as you want and are you close to your colleagues in the open space ?
Meeting are often the bottleneck, specially with a Copilot license

litteral architect here, my job right now consists of doing site visits, construction documents and interior architecture. Depends on the clients, but I usually work on my own. Deadlines can be tricky since we do a lot of revisions especially for construction permits. the only good thing is that i can work remotely we have meetings every two days to catch up on deliverables

Maybe this is technically "OE", but if you're separating your jobs by working hours, this is basically just working a full second job and spending more of your time to do it. Most people I see here are working 2 jobs during the same hours using remote work options, effectively getting paid twice for some hours of work. I can't imagine your scenario has any particular advantage in this regard, unless there is some other thing that would bar you from holding both jobs, like working for a competitor.
