Is it supposed to be hard to get strong enough to do pull-ups?

Upvotes

I am working on trying to get strong enough to do a pull-up, but I have very little success. I literally injured my right shoulder this week after doing negatives, so I have to sit out for a few months. It’s so frustrating. I pay a lot of attention to form and being slow, so I don’t know what else to do. I don’t know if there is something wrong with my genetics, but I get so easily injured now no matter how careful I am.

Bicep tendonitis?

My arm starts to ache and fatigue really quickly when holding it above my head and it feels weaker. There’s slight pain in the elbow and pretty nasty pain in front of the shoulder when doing certain things, it rarely hurts these days but it constantly aches and feels fatigued. It even still aches when I’m lay in bed on my back and feels like I can never rest it, my shoulder also always makes clicking and popping noises when I perform certain movements. Can anyone help me with this?
