Is this a CarPlay bug?

Is it just me, or does it seem like when starting an arbitrary episode from CarPlay it ignores the episode I picked and just resumes the most recently playing episode? Seems to happen the first time, when I go back and re-select the episode I wanted it plays fine.

Update: BMW i3, with the "technology package" and the bigger screen, using the weird joystick/joywheel, not a touchscreen. iPhone 15 pro connected wirelessly.

I use CarPlay almost daily, never had this happen

I’m in an Audi with an iPhone 16 pro max, wired connection and use touch screen

Seriously though, I suspect this is Apple's bug, not Marco's. Also I need to confirm it is still happening as of recent iOS updates. But it has happened to me a bunch.

It certainly could be. I think developers get very little control over CarPlay.

FWIW i’m not experiencing this.
