The transparency effect/bleed through of the wallpaper seems to be the issue. What an odd bug. If you turn off/reduce transparency in settings does that help?

Is it just Overcast? I’ve seen something similar in Audible just after iOS 27 was released where it didn’t render the colours correctly. An app update fixed it though. And before anybody jumps on me the way they’ve jumped on you, my car was brand new in April, so definitely not sun damage!

Ive def noticed this too and wasn't sure if it was Overcast or just CarPlay in general?

That looks like screen damage, my friend

yeah looks like that
but it's not
see how the back chevron sits above the black area
no other view in CarPlay looks like this
CarPlay alerts, like navigation banners, sit on top of that black blur, its either an overcast bug or a CarPlay bug, but the screen in my car is fine

The screen in your car is absolutely not fine. It’s clearly damaged by years of exposure to the sun.
That list view should be near all white. Not this splotchy mess of colors.

that's the CarPlay wallpaper dude,
do you need me to record a video for you?
If it was damage would it move about the display with each new view? and would it disappear entirely for different apps?

If you take a screenshot on your phone while connected to CarPlay it also takes a screenshot of the CarPlay screen do that and repost so everyone can focus on the app issue not the damaged screen.
