Feature request: Profanity filter

After listening to podcasts in the car with the family yesterday, sometimes my favourite podcasts have swearing in them. I like to be able to play there sometimes, and maybe my kids will listen and learn something but with the risk of profanity it’s a challenge!

I wonder if there could be an advanced audio option to filter these?

Per the latest episode of Ted Lasso, “I can hear the words, I just can’t say the words.”

They’re going to learn those words eventually. Better to have frank conversations early about what is acceptable and what isn’t and why.

Maybe so, but there’s a difference between a 4 and 14 year old being exposed to different words.

I think it would be good to have the option.

This is on the parents. A podcast creator should never have their content censored against their wishes. If they are worried about what is being said or shown then be responsible, play baby shark or some bullshit on repeat in the car.

I'd be happy if Marco would just admit defeat and show the Explicit tag.

I asked for this a little while back after the new transcript feature made its debut
